Fulvic acid is one of the 3 components of humus and arises during the digestion of plants by micro-organisms. It is a substance with many positive effects on plant and soil health. For example, fulvic mobilizes nutrients to and within plants.
What does fulvic acid do?
Fulvic acid plays an essential role in nature in mobilizing minerals and making all kinds of compounds to help plants absorb nutrients. Fulvic acid comes from humus. Due to the absence of humus in most agricultural soils, these soils are deprived of Fulvic
Quality differences in fulvic acid
The way in which fulvic acid is formed determines the quality. The purer and more nutrient-rich the plants that are ultimately transformed into humus, the more powerful fulvic acid is. Chemically obtained fulvic acid has a completely different composition than natural fulvic acid.
PHC has a 100% natural form of Fulvic acid in the form of Fulvic 25, obtained from Dutch drinking water. Through a non-chemical process, natural Fulvic acid is extracted from groundwater and formed into an effective biostimulant in an environmentally friendly manner. The main advantage is that Fulvic 25 does not contain bulking agents such as Kalium (Potassium), which is found in synthetic fulvic acids.
Fulvic 25 has a high pH (8.2), high fulvic acid content, strong chelating and complexing properties and stimulates soil life. It improves the absorption of all captured minerals in the soil. Fulvic 25 makes phosphates absorbable for the plant, among other things, which increases root development. In addition, Fulvic 25 dissolves easily at any PH without clumping.
Soil
Applying Fulvic 25 to the soil provides release of captured minerals. The chelating effect ensures better absorption by the crop. Phosphate is fixed almost instantly in the ground to iron, calcium or aluminum and becomes unavailable for plants. Fulvic 25 releases phosphate quickly and makes it available. Fulvic 25 is highly mobile and contributes to a higher nutrient density for plants and thus a higher nutritional value for humans and animals. Fulvic 25 stimulates soil life and increases CO2 sequestration.
Advice: Dose 5-10 L / ha at or after sowing / planting.
Fulvic 25 in combination with foliar fertilizers
Fulvic 25 applied to the leafs, in combination with foliar fertilization, ensures increased uptake of foliar fertilizers. It rapidly mobilizes nutrients into the crop. For example, Fulvic 25 in combination with a calcium fertilizer increases Calcium levels in young tissue. With higher salt levels in some foliar fertilizers, Fulvic 25 reduces the harmful side effects of these salts.
Advice: Dose 2-3 L / ha in combination with foliar fertilizer
Foliar Application
An application with Fulvic 25 on the crop without any additives can also be very effective. Fulvic 25 is incredibly mobile and forms various nutrient complexes in the crop. For example, oxidized iron can be converted into plant-available iron. It also enhances various aromatics in herbs with a positive effect on the taste.
Advice: Dose 3-5 L / ha in a solo application
Chemistry application
Fulvic 25 is widely used in combination with various chemicals. Fulvic 25 application in combination with herbicides such as glyphosate ensure a very effective result, which allows the dosage to be reduced by up to 50%. Selective herbicides are an exception. We do not recommend using these agents in combination with Fulvic 25 because it enhances the absorption of herbicides into the crop. Application of Fulvic 25 in combination with fungicide and insecticide contributes to improved and in some cases prolonged spraying effect (it is best to first perform a test spray for compatibility)
Advice: Dose 1-5 L / ha with a leaf application, 5-10 L / ha with a soil application
